S.T.O.P. ACT: Welcome

WHAT IS THE S.T.O.P. ACT

As a veteran that has served in the Army and awarded the Purple Heart, readjustment into society has been a challenge. Since completing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), readjustment into the civilian sector has become easy and inviting. CBT relieves everyday stressors and the anxiety that comes with fitting in and feeling normal again. After many years of attending different variations of therapy, CBT proved to be the best and most effective. CBT has drastically improved my mind and the minds of other veterans alike. CBT has exhibited positive feedback and evident changes in veterans who often suffer from PTSD and/or other readjustment issues. CBT has allowed veterans to successfully be reintroduced to civilian life and improves personal and professional relationships that are often hindered by mental health issues. We support mental health services and we believe that it is the most important step in the soldier readjustment process. The S.T.O.P. Act is being proposed to ensure that these services are implemented and executed effectively in support of our nations Heroes.
